Day 3 - Growth, fixes, and features, oh my!


Beacon's Edge is getting so much more attention than I ever expected. What was  meant to be an educational project shared with family and friend is about to reach 2000 plays, with a 4x on traffic in the last 12 hours. This has been a very exciting and challenging experience, I'm so grateful! To no ones surprise, the day revealed a lot of bugs that need squashing and so much opportunity for improvement and growth. Thank you to everyone who is trying my game and providing feedback. You all rock! 


Changes/Fixes:

  • Increases starting battery capacity to 15, enabling users to immediately apply Fledgling and Flywheel upgrades if obtained
  • Adds ability to cancel tasks. Canceled tasks will still remove the material cost from inventory.
  • Adds ability to mute audio in pause menu
  • Updates failure to prevent dawn shard loss
  • Fixes a minor bug preventing dialogue from looping as expected
